Ministry Motivators Part 2 - Compelled

Paul lived his life with one passion and goal - to glorify God by promoting the cause of Christ and the gospel. In II Corinthians 5:14-15, he tells us that what keeps him passionate about that is the constraining love of Christ.

Ministry Motivators Part 1

In his second letter to the Corinthians, the apostle Paul defends his ministry and character that had come under attack from false teachers and critics. In chapter 5, he explains the motivations of his ministry. These should also be the motivations for all of Gods servants.

Blessed Are the Intolerant

In spite of being considered intolerant in our culture today, the Christian is to stand on truth and confront error. Those that are spiritually sensitive don't accept the cultural status quo, see things in a way that the culture see them, allow their companions to determine correctness, and allow the culture to dictate their convictions.

Vigilance Required

A sincere decision does not guarantee a sanctified life. Nehemiah had left Jerusalem, and while he was gone it didn't take long for there to be spiritual decline in Jerusalem. The people compromised in four areas. They compromised in their companions. They kept back what should have been given in the collection. They secularized the Sabbath. They corrupted the covenant of marriage. Vigilance is required so that sincere decisions also become part of sanctified living.
